The Windmills of Montedor-Carreço-Museological Center of Etnography
Montedor is the only windmill operating in Portugal with trapezoidal sails made of wood and the Interpretation Centre, housed in another mill with cloth sails, provides visitors with information about the mills and the surrounding region. There are two heritage and natural environment trails which will guide you through some of the most beautiful spots in the area. Visitors may taste local products and attend performances of the ‘Grupo Folclórico de Danças e Canteres de Carreço’ by appointment.
