The City Park is a recreational area, with a view over the valley, an outdoor amphitheater, green areas and a playground. It was established under the “Requalificação Paisagística das Margens do rio Simão” project of the Rio Simon margins, allowing the reapprochement of the population with the water line. The “Corredor Ecológico” (Ecological Corridor) begins in the Juventude Park and runs in direction to the mountains of Santa Justa and Pias, between which the river Ferreira and the village of Couce are located. The park was inaugurated on the 7th/May, 2005.
