Pacheco Bakery

Barcelos
Description / Facilities
The bakery Pacheco has more than 75 years of tradition. It started as bakery, but in the 90's became also a pastry. The house speciality is Broa de Milho (bread made of a mixture of cornmeal and wheat or rye flour, and is leavened with yeast rather than baking powder or baking soda) and Regueifa (wheat bread normally with braided shape). Its confectionery should also be emphasized, in particular, the Croissants, the Pão-de-Ló (sponge cake) and at Christmas the Bolo-rei (soft, white dough, with raisins, various nuts, and crystallized fruit).
